Who you are agreeing with

The Lensatic app, the website at lensatic.fit, and everything on them are provided by Deadlift Digital LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (“Deadlift Digital”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Deadlift Digital LLC.

By downloading, installing, or using the app, or by using lensatic.fit, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app or the site. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles and forms part of these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lensatic. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. The app is designed for adults preparing for military selection courses.

You also confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Not medical, professional, or official advice

Lensatic provides general fitness and training information. It is not medical advice. We are not your physician, physical therapist, dietitian, or coach, and nothing in the app or on the site diagnoses, treats, or prevents any condition.

• Talk to a qualified healthcare provider before starting or changing a training program — particularly if you have an injury, a medical condition, or any reason to think hard physical work might not be safe for you.
• Stop and get help if you experience chest pain, dizziness, disorientation, unusual shortness of breath, or symptoms of heat illness.
• Calorie estimates, heart-rate zones, pace targets, load recommendations, readiness and recovery indicators, Wear & Tear entries, and every other number the app produces are estimates. They can be wrong. They are not a clearance to train and not a diagnosis.
• Do not rely on the app for navigation or safety in the field. GPS drifts, batteries die, and phones break. Carry a map, a compass, and a plan that works without a phone.

Assumption of risk

Rucking, running, load carriage, land navigation, swimming, and strength training carry real risk — including sprains and strains, stress fractures, rhabdomyolysis, heat and cold injury, dehydration, cardiac events, becoming lost, and death. You accept those risks. You are responsible for judging what you are fit to do, for your own safety and the safety of anyone training with you, and for obeying the law, the rules of the land you are on, and the direction of your own chain of command.

No military affiliation, and no promise of selection

Deadlift Digital LLC is a private company. Lensatic is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Defense, any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the National Guard, any selection course or training command, or any government agency. References to standards, courses, and publications are drawn from public sources for informational purposes.

Standards change, and the version in the app may be out of date. The authority is always the current official publication and the guidance you get from your own chain of command or recruiter. Nothing in the app affects your official record, your eligibility, or any score that counts.

Using Lensatic does not mean you will pass selection, meet a standard, earn a slot, or be selected for anything. We guarantee no result.

Your licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, and to use the website, for your own non-commercial training. Every right not expressly granted is reserved.

You may not:

• copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the app;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law;
• rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or redistribute it;
• remove or obscure any notice of ownership;
• use automated means to scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the app, its servers, or the website;
• or use the app or the site to build a competing product.

Intellectual property

The app, the website, the Lensatic name and mark, the training plans, courses, guides, illustrations, and the software itself are owned by Deadlift Digital LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Standards, score tables, and other facts drawn from government publications are not ours; the way we present, explain, and organise them is.

Accounts

An account is optional — the app works fully without one. If you create one:

• give accurate information and keep your email address current;
• keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account;
• write to [email protected] if you believe someone else has gained access to it.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger Zone → Delete account, which removes the account and the data belonging to it. See Delete Your Account for the detail.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• submit anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• impersonate another person, or choose a username that is offensive, misleading, or implies a rank, unit, or official position you do not hold;
• falsify, script, spoof, or otherwise manufacture activity data — including editing GPS traces, using a mock-location app, or logging sessions you did not do — in order to appear on or climb a leaderboard;
• interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app, its servers, or another user’s account;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that breaks a rule of the installation, unit, or land you are on.

Leaderboards are off by default and depend on people being honest. Where we reasonably believe results were faked or the rules above were broken, we may remove a username, remove entries, reset a ranking, or suspend leaderboard access.

Your content

Everything you enter — sessions, notes, check-ins, your username, a shared workout image, a feature suggestion — remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it only so far as is needed to run the service for you: syncing it to your own account, showing your username and weekly totals on a leaderboard if you switch leaderboards on, and generating an image when you tap share. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning or AI models. The Privacy Policy is the detail.

If you send us an idea, suggestion, or piece of feedback, we may use it without obligation or payment to you. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential.

Purchases

Lensatic is free today. If we add paid features or a subscription, they will be sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and those stores — not us — take the payment, hold your payment details, and handle billing.

• Prices are shown before you buy, and a subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We have no ability to issue a refund for a store purchase.
• We may change what is free and what is paid, but we will not take away something you have already paid for during the period you paid for.

Advertising

There is no advertising in the app, no paid placement in the guides, and no affiliate arrangement behind any recommendation. If that ever changes it will be disclosed plainly, here and wherever it appears.

Third-party services

The app and the site depend on services we do not control — among them Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenFreeMap, Cloudflare, Android Health Connect, and Apple Health. Your use of those is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them, for their availability, or for what they do with data you give them directly. The Privacy Policy describes what each one sees.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app or the site at any time, including a feature you rely on, and we may do so without notice. We do not promise that the app will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with your device, your watch, or a future version of your operating system.

Your training data lives on your phone. That is deliberate: if the service ever goes away, what is on your device is still yours.

Termination

You may stop using Lensatic at any time by deleting the app and, if you created one, your account. We may suspend or end your access — with notice where practical — if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing would create a legal or security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive it, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deadlift Digital LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the app will be accurate, reliable, secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors, or that data will not be lost.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deadlift Digital LLC and its member, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost or corrupted data, loss of goodwill, personal injury, or property damage, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — the app or the website, whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the app or the website is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deadlift Digital LLC and its member, officers, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of your misuse of the app or the website, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of anyone’s rights.

Resolving a dispute

If something goes wrong, write to [email protected] first and describe the problem. Most things can be sorted out that way. Please allow 30 days from the date we receive your notice before starting formal proceedings.

If that does not resolve it, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Missouri — except that either of us may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in a place whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, or gives you protections that cannot be waived by contract, nothing here takes that away.

Additional terms for the Apple App Store

These terms apply if you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, and they are required by Apple.

• Acknowledgement. These Terms are concluded between you and Deadlift Digital LLC only, and not with Apple. Deadlift Digital LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Scope of licence. The licence granted to you for the app is a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
• Maintenance and support. Deadlift Digital LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services.
• Warranty. Deadlift Digital LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of Deadlift Digital LLC.
• Product claims. Deadlift Digital LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the app’s use of the HealthKit and HomeKit frameworks.
• Intellectual property rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Deadlift Digital LLC, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Developer name and address. Questions, complaints, or claims about the app should be directed to: Deadlift Digital LLC, 117 S Lexington St, Ste 100, Harrisonville, MO 64701-2444, United States — [email protected].
• Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right — and will be deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Additional terms for Google Play

If you obtained the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app.

The rest

• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is limited to the minimum extent necessary.
• Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it.
• You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Deadlift Digital LLC concerning Lensatic, and replace anything said before.

Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use Lensatic after a change means the updated Terms apply. If you do not accept a change, stop using the app and delete your account.
